It took me ten days to come up with a topic for post #1. Ten days. Incredibly sad, yes? Initially I was going to do a little fluffy bit on this super energetic lady who likes to bake, and plan and ruffle her husband's hair condescendingly, but I haven't quite worked out anything properly with that one.
Anyway, in the spirit of Christmas (and Taylor Swift's 'Red'), I have painted my nails red and white. I will not say anything more about that, because if I wrote a post about how I painted my fingernails red and white very messily, and then cleaned up all the messed up bits very carefully to acquire the quasi-perfect finish that my nails have now (okay, they're far from perfect, but I have other things to worry about and so do you), I wouldn't read my own blog.
Instead, I will talk about something considerably more Christmas-y and fun - the panto I watched with the pinafore and the rest of my lot (and some thirty other unimportant people from school), Cinderella. Let me start by saying that the plot had very little to do with Cinderella, and more to do with Mojo Jojo (!!!) and his evil plan, princes Farming and Charming (I know what you're thinking, but you're wrong) and the princes' etiquette teacher, Cherry Blossom (I should mention that this was a guy in a dress, and he looked amazingly hot as Cherry Blossom). It had my favourite kind of storyline where there's an array of seemingly disconnected subplots and characters which eventually merge into one big shingabangdang.
It was a really good play, ridiculously funny, well acted, and feels-inducing (my two favourite characters got together eeEeeEEe). Ah, Mojo and Cherry. They're up there with Johnlock and Gansey/Blue (the pinafore is going to be quite appalled at that).
All right, something considerably less Christmas-y (even the nails are more Christmas-y), Sara made me watch 'Free!'. So I'm going to spend Christmas hols fangirling about Rin/Haru and Rei/Nagisa and Makuto(!!!). I'm already super excited about the whole thing, because I was going all eeEeeeEEe looking at fanart today, and I've only seen one episode.

I've told you a gazillion times NOT to refer to me as the pinafore, Riya, but oh no, you just won't listen. I am quite appalled at that piece of information you decided to share with us. Mojo, though.<3
ReplyDeleteYou're the pinafore like Sarah Green is the Yeti. Be honoured, be happy, embrace it, darling; And keep your spine straight.
