Hey Hey Hoo

I'm on the tenterest of hooks as tomorrow (okay, technically the day after, but only just) is the day I leave for the Russia to see my brother and the sights the cities of Moscow and SPB (St, Petersburg - I like saying SPB) have to offer.
It should be fun, and things should go smoothly despite the fact that some random relatives (no offense, random relatives) are tagging along with us and are kind of, slightly, ruining the whole (nuclear) family oneness of the trip. I also have the tendency to get all flustered and Mother Hen-like worrying whether or not my parents are having fun, and I'm so anxious I can hardly enjoy myself. This time, however, I'm determined to say to myself, "Hell, parents, you're not children and you can look after yourselves - I'm going to do this cool thing with my brother, toodly-doo!"
  So that's there.

On the downside, there is the risk of randomly throwing up at places, but it has been proved that I always seem to be in excellent health when I'm in Bangalore, so maybe that rule is extended to anywhere that isn't home. Here's hoping (pretend I'm tipping my nonexistent hat).

In other travelling news - this is the lightest I've ever packed. It's probably owing to the fact that now that I have a kindle, I don't have to drag around a bunch of books, and I've ditched my tab. My Cool Aunt has given me two cool jackets to borrow (we didn't buy because it's totally not worth it to buy a bunch of jackets when you live where I live). All in all, I'm very pleased about this trip and things, and judging by the enthusiasm in his voice, so is my brother. Although, he does keep saying stupid things like, "Pshaw, why don't you buy a laptop instead of coming all the way around the world - better than using that dinosaur computer that was outdated six years back," blah blah blah.

I haven't been this tickled in a while! (Okay, I have, but there should be no limit to the number of times one is allowed to be happy.)

This has been some excited, mundane rambling from me and I'll see you (who?) after I get back!
